To rapidly and surely repair, at a low cost, a stay rod which is broken in its upper part in such a condition that a locking part at the lower end thereof is secured to an underground anchor, so as to loose a stay rod locking part at the upper end thereof.
The ground surface 13 making contact with a first stay rod 8 is dug, and thereafter, the upper part of the first stay rod 8 is cut at a suitable position below the ground surface 13, and the upper part 8d cut away from the first stay rod 8 is disconnectably connected to a locking part 14a at a lower end of a new second support line rod 14 through a coupling means 1 below the ground surface 13. The coupling means 1 is buried under the ground surface 13 in its entirety, and a stay rod 14b at the lower end of the second stay rod 14 is arranged above the ground surface 13.
