Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the method for repairing a coated surface which can make the operation to repair only the defectively coated part of finish coating in a small scale without affecting the circumference and the tool therefor.
CONSTITUTION: This method for repairing the coating surface consists in grinding away the defectively coated part of the finish coated surface by a grinding blade and locally replenishing a finish coating material into the recessed part formed by this removal at the time of repairing the defectively coated part of the finish coated surface. The tool A for repairing the coated surface is constituted of the grinding blade 10 for removing grinding blade coated part of the finish coated surface and a grinding blade holder 20 for having a regulating part 21b in sliding contact with the coated surface and holding the blade part 10a of the grinding blade in the state of projecting this part from the regulating part by as much as the size smaller than the finish coating film thickness. Further, the grinding blade may be formed to a circular shape and the constitution to provide the grinding blade holder with a magnifying lens 30 for checking the operation may be adopted.
