To provide a corrosion resistant fluid conducting component, and a method of replacing a fluid conducting component in a device operating under conditions promoting corrosion with the corrosion resistant fluid conducting component.
A corrosion resistant fluid conducting component 10 includes a region 14 (an inner layer) made of a corrosion resistant first material, and a region 17 (an outer layer) made of a second material. The inner layer and the outer layer are joined together by solid state welding. A region on which the replacement component is mounted in the device includes a material substantially identical to the second material. The replacement of the fluid conducting component is performed by securing the outer layer of the corrosion resistant fluid conducting component for replacement to the material of the mounting region by welding. There is provided a method of replacing a fluid conducting component with the corrosion resistant fluid conducting component.
