Title:
METHOD OF RESTORING SOIL POLLUTED WITH HEAVY METAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004066129
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a method of restoring soil polluted with heavy metals by which an environmental risk is remarkably reduced and the soil is hardly damaged to thereby enable the soil to be reused by extracting and removing the heavy metals in the soil with a high efficiency.

The soil polluted with heavy metals is subjected to washing treatment by using an aqueous solution containing a chelating agent having complex formability to the heavy metals and the pH of the aqueous solution is fluctuated at least once in a pH region where the heavy metal complex formed by the reaction of the heavy metals and the chelating agent exhibits water solubility, and thus the soil polluted with the heavy metals is restored.
