PURPOSE: To offer the method of a commodity information retrieving, selecting and reserving in a home shopping system capable of simply and timely purchasing commodities required by customers in their homes.

CONSTITUTION: An information center is called from a telephone set connected to a public telephone line, commodity information or reserved information stored in a data base is displayed on the screen of a home television and required information out of the displayed commodity information or reserved information is selected by means of an input device connected to an information center through the public telephone line. When required information is not displayed, the information of a commodity required to be purchased is registered in the information center through the input device.
