To provide a method for easily returning an operation from a protection state due to error occurrence of an electric bush cutter and to provide an electric bush cutter for achieving the method.
There is provided a method for returning an operation of an electric bush cutter 1 including: a cutting blade 12; a motor 60 for outputting rotation driving force for driving the cutting blade 12; a driving circuit 30A for driving the motor 60; and a lever 27 for actuating the motor 60. The method includes: an error detection step S5 of detecting an error occurred in the electric bush cutter 1; a protection step S6 of turning off the energization of the driving circuit 30A in accordance with error occurrence; a protection release determining step S8 of determining whether protection release is permitted based on error elimination and an operation of the lever 27; and a returning step S9 of turning on the energization of the driving circuit 30A when the protection release is determined to be permitted.
