To provide a method of reusing hydrogenation catalyst which enables a hydrogenation catalyst to be reused without deteriorating catalytic activity and has high production efficiency.
This method for reusing a catalyst used in hydrogenation reaction is characterized in that it comprises a step to temporarily house the catalyst unseparated and/or separated from the reaction liquid in a storage vessel other than a reaction vessel, a step to keep at least one of oxygen and hydrogen of ≥0.001vol.% concentration in the gas phase of the storage vessel and/or to adjust the temperature in the storage vessel to be at a temperature of ≥40°C and make the value obtained by multiplying the temperature (°C) in the storage vessel by the time (hour) to be housed in the storage vessel to be ≤2,000.
