Abstract:
To provide a method for rocking a doctor which makes the wear of the doctor uniform and mitigates the degree of a printing plate fog appearing by the rocking stroke width of the doctor, in gravure printing, and a doctor rocking device.
This doctor rocking device rocks the doctor 10 in the axial direction of a plate cylinder 20 by a cam connected with the doctor 10 in the state that the doctor 10 is pressed against the plate cylinder 20. In this device, the rocking speed of the doctor 10 at the end part of a rocking stroke width is higher than in the center of the rocking stroke width. The rocking of the doctor 10 is caused by a device as a heart-shaped fluted cam 16 which is connected with the doctor 10 and rotates at a constant speed.
