PURPOSE: To secure the internal quality of products with a mandrel mill by executing one pass of elongating/rolling in a one stand mill consisting of four rolls.
CONSTITUTION: This mill consists of a pair of upper and lower rolls 1 and a pair of right and left rolls 2, the respective rolls are supported with roll chocks 3 for upper and lower rolls and roll chocks 4 for right and left rolls in which roller bearings are incorporated and freely rotatable and the same type as a universal mill which is used in the field of bar steel is usable. The modificating range of a plug mill is only a part connected with the roll and bar operating device. In this way, the quality equal to the internal quality of the tube rolled with the mandrel mill is obtained by simple modification of the plug mill and also a reeler is unnecessitated.
