Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a method for roundly chamfering a small hole in a groove bottom without fatigue rupture due to working, and reducing operating processes and times.

CONSTITUTION: A punch-like roundly chamfering jig 24 formed on the tip with a round surface making part 23 having a same radius of curvature as that of a surface to be rounded in a chamfering part 22 of a small hole 21 formed in a groove 20 of a workpiece is used to apply a blow or press force P to the chamfering part 22 of the small hole 21 so that the chamfering part 22 is plastically deformed to roundly chamfer the surface.
