Abstract:
To provide a system of processing biomass feedstocks (e.g., plant biomass, animal biomass, and municipal waste biomass) to produce useful products, such as fuels, thereby producing ethanol or the like.SOLUTION: A method includes providing a cellulosic or lignocellulosic feedstock, and mixing the feedstock with a liquid and a saccharifying agent, and further includes causing at least partial saccharification prior to transportation, or causing substantially complete saccharification prior to transportation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
