Abstract:

To provide a new means for diagnosing cancer and a new means for inhibiting the proliferation of cancer cells.

This TRIM31 is found out to be useful as a marker for diagnosing the cancer. It is considered that the proliferation of the cancer cells is inhibited by inhibiting the expression and/or function of the TRIM31. Based on the above, the method for inhibiting the proliferation of the cancer cells by inhibiting the expression and/or function of the TRIM31, and the method for screening a compound having an activity of inhibiting the proliferation of the cancer cells by using the inhibition of the expression and/or function of the TRIM31 as indices are provided.
