Abstract:

To provide a method for screening a compound having an action similar to that of estrogen based on a retrieval result for an intracerebral estrogen-responding gene.

This method for screening the compound having the action similar to that of estrogen is provided with (1) a dosing process for dosing a test compound to biting teeth, (2) an isolation process for isolating a hippocampus from the biting teeth, (3) a monitoring process for monitoring an expression quantity of the gene described by sequence numbers 1-13 in the hippocampus, and (4) a selection process for selecting the test compound of which the expression quantity of the gene is changed, as the compound having the action similar to that of estrogen, and the purpose hereinbefore is solved by the method.
