Abstract:
To provide a method of screening a new remedy for diabetes based on the clarification of a function of PDK4 which comprises using the presence or absence of a PDK4-specific inhibitory activity as an indication and selecting a substance having the activity.
A method of screening a remedy for diabetes is characterized by comprising using the presence or absence of a PDK4-specific inhibitory activity as an indication and selecting a substance having the activity. As a specific example of the method, a method of selecting a substance having an inhibitory activity specifically on PDK4 but having no inhibitory activity on PDK1, PDK2 and PDK3 can be cited.
