PURPOSE: To easily and speedily scroll waveform on a screen by performing position movement corresponding to a moving quantity previously set by the relation with a current angle of rotation by merely rotating a shuttle part.
CONSTITUTION: The waveform recorder is provided with at least a display part 16 which outputs the fetched waveform data as waveform on the screen by the operation input of an operation part 14, and the operation part 14 for scrolling the waveform displayed on the screen of the display part 16 in the vertical and horizontal directions consists of a changeover switch which sets the scrolling direction of the waveform in the longitudinal or lateral direction and a jog shuttle dial composed of a the jog part and the shuttle part for position movement in the direction determined by the relation with the switching state of the changeover switch, and the scrolling of the waveform using the shuttle part of jog shuttle dial is performed by moving the position of the shuttle part in the direction determined by the switching state of the changeover switch to the longitudinal or lateral direction, according to the moving quantity previously set by the relation with the angle of rotation of the shuttle part.
