A method for sealing a honeycomb structure related to the embodiment includes a sealing step of filling a sealing paste into an end part in a plurality of flow paths 410 of a green honeycomb molded body 400 and forming a sealing part 430, and a step of spraying hot air W to the sealing part 430 from one end surface 400a side while an opening extending in the axial direction of the flow paths 410 is not formed in an end part 430a on the one end surface 400a side of the green honeycomb molded body 400 in the sealing part 430.
