To provide an economically advantageous method for sealing a porous object such as a casting by which the generation of foam is suppressed without damaging the stability of an impregnating solution, and also, the reduction of an impregnating cycle is possible.
In the method of repeatedly performing the process of feeding an impregnating solution 3 containing methacrylate as a component into an impregnating tank 2 from a solution storing tank 1 of the impregnating solution 3, impregnating a porous object 5 with the impregnating solution 3 in the impregnating tank 2 and thereafter returning the impregnating solution 3 to the solution storing tank 1, the impregnating solution 3 after the impregnation is stayed in piping 4 connecting the solution storing tank 1 and the impregnating tank 2.
