Abstract:
To provide a method of sealing an opening of a vehicle body for enabling easy attachment and tight and reliable mounting during assembling an automobile.
In the method of sealing the structural element opening, a sealing plug 10 is manufactured into a working shape to assure sufficient tightness. The sealing plug 10 is thermally treated so that the sealing plug 10 has a mounting shape different from a shape for use. The sealing plug is inserted again into an opening so that the sealing plug 10 is formed into the shape for use, and thermally treated again in the opening.
