Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a method in which a noble metal in a noble metal- containing scrap is deformed into a shape easily dissolved in a mineral acid by using a comparatively simple treatment.

CONSTITUTION: The noble metal-containing scrap is sintered in a condition where at least one kind of a chloride selected from a group consisting of 1A compound, 2A compound and 3A compound and 1 or at least one kind of hydrochlorite, silicate, carbonaceous compound and water coexist and the noble metal is segregated. By extremely simple treatment, such as the sintering treatment, the noble metal is segregated into the shape easily dissolved in a mineral acid and can be easily extracted with mineral acid.
