Title:
METHOD FOR SELECTING ONE MICROPHONE OUT OF PLURAL MICROPHONES AND VOICE-ACTUATED SWITCHING SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3025194
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten operation processing time required for the selection of a microphone in a teleconference system.
SOLUTION: An operation processing request for a microphone selecting process is fixed, by using a combination value for providing the standard of quality of voice signals respectively received by plural microphones. A microphone, capable of receiving a voice signal by the highest quality, is selected by comparing a signal energy value received by each microphone with signal energy values respectively received by other microphones. Specifically, a pair of microphones for determining a sound source direction are inspected by searching a pair of a microphone turned to the front and having strong sound and a microphone turned to the rear side, connected to the front microphone and having weak sound. A microphone pair having the highest combination value is selected as the microphone pair, capable of most efficiently receiving the voice signal.
