To present a combination method of a physical quantity sensor pair satisfying a measurement specification of an output difference.
A method for selecting a sensor pair of a dual physical quantity sensor includes the steps for: finding a maximum value and a minimum value of an accuracy index of an output characteristic of each of a plurality of physical quantity sensors; selecting physical quantity sensors in each of which a difference between the maximum value and the minimum value of the accuracy index of the output characteristic is included within a previously determined allowance range of the accuracy index of the output characteristic as a plurality of candidates of a first or second physical quantity sensor; selecting a first physical quantity sensor from the plurality of physical quantity sensor candidates and finding an upper limit value and a lower limit value of the accuracy index of the output characteristic allowed to be included in a second physical quantity sensor to be served as a pair with the first physical quantity sensor on the basis of the maximum value and the minimum value of the accuracy index of the output characteristic of the first physical quantity sensor and the accuracy index of the difference output of the sensor pair; and determining the second physical quantity sensor from the plurality of physical quantity sensor candidates on the basis of the upper limit value and the lower limit value of the accuracy index of the output characteristic allowed to be included in the second physical quantity sensor.
