Abstract:

To provide a novel and efficient method for selectively collecting a halogenated aromatic compound.

A method for obtaining an organic medium not containing a halogenated aromatic compound includes passing an organic medium containing a halogenated aromatic compound through a polymer and simultaneously contacting the polymer that is obtained by reacting an alcohol, aryl alcohol or phenol with the end of a polymer obtained by condensing cyclodextrin and an organic dibasic acid or organic dibasic acid halide and that interacts with the halogenated aromatic compound in an absorptive manner, wherein centrifugal force is applied when the organic medium containing the halogenated aromatic compound is passed through and made contact with the polymer interacting with the halogenated aromatic compound in the absorptive manner.
