Abstract:
To provide a method that can separate albumin and globulin in high yield from a protein-containing solution containing multiple proteins including albumin and globulin.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for separating albumin and globulin from a protein-containing solution containing a plurality of proteins including albumin and globulin, respectively, the method comprising (i) adjusting the pH of the protein-containing solution to 4.2 or more and less than 5.5, and performing electrophoresis to separate globulin, and (ii) after the (i), adjusting the pH of the protein-containing solution to 5.5 or more and less than 10.5, and performing electrophoresis to separate albumin.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
