Abstract:
To provide a modified method for recovering an aromatic compound from a mixture including the aromatic compound and non-aromatic compound(s), and to provide a method for retrofitting an existing plant for the above method.
The modified method includes the step of recovering the objective aromatic compound by conducting a combined operation of extractive distillation/liquid-liquid extractor and a modification of the above operation concurrently. For the use in the above method, a method for swiftly and economically retrofitting an existing recovering process plant is also provided.
