PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of effectively separating and collecting selenium and tellurium mixed in hydrochloric acid acidic liquid comprising one or more element of rhodium, ruthenium, and iridium.SOLUTION: This invention provides a method where, to hydrochloric acid acidic solution comprising one or more metal component of rhodium, ruthenium, and iridium, and selenium and tellurium, a compound comprising reductive sulfur (-II) is added, for separating and collecting selenium and tellurium from the metal component.
