The reaction liquid obtained through the transesterification is continuously supplied to a middle step of a distillation tower, a mixture of methanol and dimethylcarbonate is distilled from the top of the tower, a mixture of an alkylene glycol and the alkylene carbonate is distilled from the bottom of the tower, and dimethylcarbonate is distilled as a bypass from the intermediate part of the tower.
