To provide a method capable of selectively separating only a gold without adsorbing other metals from a predetermined concentration of hydrochloride acid solution in which a many kinds of metals are incorporated.
In the case of separating the gold from the solution by adsorbing the gold into an adsorbent, by contacting the solution dissolving the suitable concentration of the gold in the predetermined concentration of the hydrochloride acid with the adsorbent obtained by applying sulfuric acid treatment to a skin of fruit containing polyphenol, as the adsorbent, the adsorbent obtained from the skin of the fruit (except a lemon) containing hesperidin and/or hesperitin, is used to separate only the gold.
