Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic separator capable of precisely separating a plastics by types even if a plastic piece in the form of sheet and film is included.
SOLUTION: In separating plastic pieces by types by throwing the friction electrified plastic pieced into electrostatic field 24 between a drum electrode 21 and a opposed electrode having high voltage applied thereto and altering the falling locus by the polarity and the amount of electrification of the plastic pieced, the plastic pieced are heated from a softening temperature or more to a melting temperature or less prior to friction electrification of the plastic pieces for heat-shrinkage. Thus, the adhesion of the plastic pieces to each other by static electricity is prevented.
