To provide a method for economically separating and recovering the whole kinds of platinum group elements as enriched material in high yield from the platinum group element-containing solution coexisting low-concentrated platinum group elements and high concentrated impurity elements, generated in a nonferrous metal smelting process or a platinum group element-containing material treating process.
The method for separating and recovering the platinum group elements has the peculiarity, that after separating and removing chloro-complex coordinated with chloride-ion in the platinum group element-ion from the platinum group element-containing material and element for disturbing the formation of complex salt with positive-ion having larger ion-radius than the ion-radius of potassium-ion from the platinum group element-ion; hydrochloric solution of the platinum group elements after separating and removing as the above and a salt-ion formable as complex salt with the chloro-comlex, which is the positive-ion having larger ion-radius than the ion radius of the potassium-ion and is coordinated with the chloride-ion in the platinum group element-ion, are mixed.
