To sort, separate and recover a powder mixture in which two kinds of synthetic resin powder of different charged polarity from each other coexist and which is charged in both positive and negative polarity.
A powder mixture M charged in both positive and negative polarity housed in a hopper 1 is discharged by a destaticizer 4 in the middle of being conveyed by a feeder 2 and falls onto a rotary grounding electrode 5 of one rotary drum type forming an electric field. A corona discharge electrode 6 (negative charge) of the other rotary drum type to which high voltage is applied is arranged opposite to the rotary grounding electrode 5. When the powder mixture on the rotary grounding electrode enters the electric field, one negatively charged synthetic resin (PVC) particles Y move with the rotation of the drum, attracted on the rotary grounding electrode, and are removed. The other positively charged synthetic resin (acrylic resin) particles X are repelled by coulomb force acting between them and the rotary grounding electrode, and scatter as shown by the arrow and are attracted on the corona discharge electrode and recovered.
