Abstract:

To obtain a method for efficiently recovering rhodium by simply separating rhodium from platinum and/or palladium from raw material containing rhodium and at least platinum and/or palladium.

The method of recovering the rhodium, is performed as the followings, that the raw material containing rhodium and at least platinum and/or palladium, is made to be soluble chloride by performing chloriding-treatment in chlorine atmosphere, and successively, the platinum and/or the palladium are filtered and separated as the solution by water-leaching this treated material to leave insoluble rhodium chloride in a filtered residue and successively, the rhodium can be made to the soluble sodium salt by mixing the residue with sodium chloride and roasting it in the chlorine atmosphere and this is refined to recover the rhodium.
