Abstract:

To separate paper and waste plastics in a general waste and to further separate the plastics into a heavy specific gravity side and a light specific gravity side.

General waste in which paper and waste plastics 3 are mixed is comminuted by a comminutor 1. Then, the comminuted general waste is separated into the paper 5 and the plastics 3 by a dry specific gravity separator 4. Then, the plastics are separated into light specific gravity side waste plastics 3a and heavy specific gravity side waste plastics 3b by a wet separator 2. Thus, the paper and the waste plastics are separated from the general waste, and further separated from the waste plastics into chlorine-containing plastics with a high efficiency.
