Abstract:
To provide a metal wall section cooling method capable of providing a desired creep life.SOLUTION: A method includes: a cooling temperature-stress relationship computation step for computing a cooling temperature-stress relationship indicating a relationship between the temperature of an outer surface of a metal wall section after cooling, the metal wall section partitioning a pressurized fluid, and the stress acting on the cooled portion; and a post-cooling temperature computation step for computing, from the cooling temperature-stress relationship and a constant life line indicating a temperature-stress relationship and representing a target creep life of the metal wall section, a target post-cooling temperature of the outer surface satisfying the target creep life. In the cooling temperature-stress relationship computation step, the cooling temperature-stress relationship is computed while taking into consideration the thickness of the metal wall section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
