Based on the hydraulic control by the electronic control part 4 through the hydraulic control part 3, the third frictional clutch C3 is moved into an engaged state, and a variation in turbine speed at that time is detected by a turbine speed sensor 13. Based on the detected turbine speed, the hydraulic pressure characteristic values at the start of the engagement of the third frictional clutch C3 are learned and set by the electronic control part 4.
