To provide a method for setting locations of solar battery panels, which can prevent increase in kind of coping members, and to provide a roof with solar batteries.
When locations of the plurality of solar battery panels 20, 30 on a roof surface 16 are set, a dimension (a) which is an interval between an edge 51 along a declining ridge 13 of a solar battery array 50 formed of the solar battery panels 20, 30 and the declining ridge 13, is determined, and thereafter a dimension (b) which is an interval between an edge along a main ridge 11 of the solar battery array 50 and the main ridge 11, is determined with the dimension (a) being maintained as it is. Thus, even if respective dimensions of the roof surface 16 are made various, the interval between the edge 51 of the solar battery array 50 and the declining ridge 13 always becomes equal to the predetermined dimension (a), and therefore ridge coping members 13A having the same width dimension can be used, to thereby prevent increase in kind of the coping members 13A.
