Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the setting of work roll shift without unchanging a zigzag arrangement in the work roll shift by setting a stored shift position in a storing means as the actually shifted position after restarting the shift of stands temporarily stopping the shift and continuing the setting of the work roll shift.
SOLUTION: After completing the change of the rolls in all stands, the first rolling is executed and the work roll shift is executed and on and after the second rolling is executed. After completing the eleventh rolling, F7WR (working roll) is stopped for purpose of intermediately changing F7 stand. F7WR stops the shift till the 21th rolling and the shift in only the other stands is executed to continue the rolling. During this rolling, the roll changing of F7 stand is executed and the roll shift is started after the 21th rolling, at which shift quantity in all stands becomes again zero, to execute rolling. In this way, the WR shift can be changed without unchanging the zigzag arrangement.
