Abstract:
PURPOSE: To stably force a filler 2 into a hole 7 in the blast furnace bottom in which a new thermometer 8 is set.
CONSTITUTION: A hole 7 is bored in the bottom refractory of a blast furnace while the furnace is repaired or operated, a new thermometer 8 provided with a presser plate 9 at its tip is inserted into the hole, and a filler 2 having 150-250 consistency is injected from the inner part of the hole by an injector 11 outside the furnace while keeping the pressure at the tip of an injection nozzle 1 at 0.2-5kg/cm2.
