PURPOSE: To early and inexpensively conduct and to easily change from one block to the other during manufacturing by sufficiently breaking a material engaged with a body by relative motion core pushing to remove it from the body in a method of shaping a material suitable for use in a building or furnishing industry, sufficiently hardening an adjacent material to remain adhered, and thereby forming a surface region of material formed to have a recess of a predetermined profile of shaping.

CONSTITUTION: An apparatus suitable for use in shaping a sheet or block of a foamed plastic material has a conveyor 1 horizontally advancing to support a sheet 3 of a plastic material. Three shaping holders 5, 7, 9 are provided at an interval along the horizontal advancing of the conveyor 1. The holders 5, 7, 9 respectively have a set of upright guides 11 provided at opposite sides of the conveyor 1. A cross member 13 can vertically slide in guides 11 the sets, supported by the respective members and a series of shaping elements at an equal interval in a lateral direction of the conveyor 11.
