Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately predict a performance of a product made of a viscoelastic material which indicates nonlinearity in material physical properties under practically using conditions.
SOLUTION: A method for simulating to predict the performance of the product made of the viscoelastic material comprises the steps of measuring values of a distortion, a distortion speed and a stress occurring in the viscoelastic material at every moment under measuring conditions presuming an actually using state of the product made of the material, deriving history data of the every moment of a viscous drag of the viscoelastic material from the history data of the distortion, the distortion speed and the stress at every moment and a viscoelastic model by considering a viscosity of the viscoelastic material, setting the product made of the viscoelastic material as a product model of an object to be analyzed, inputting a relation among the distortion, the distortion speed and the viscous drag to the product model, simulating by considering a change in the viscous drag due to a difference of the distortion and the distortion speed, and predicting the performance of the product model made of the viscoelastic material.
