Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simultaneously grinding the inner diameter face and outer diameter face that can improve grinding precision and shorten a cycle time in a grinding method for simultaneously grinding the inner diameter face and outer diameter face of an annular workpiece by a centerless system.SOLUTION: When the inner diameter face Wb and outer diameter face Wa of a workpiece W is simultaneously ground by a grinding wheel 5 for an inner diameter and a grinding wheel 4 for an outer diameter by the centerless system while rotating the workpiece W by supporting two points of the outer diameter face Wa of the annular workpiece W, the rotation direction of the grinding wheel 5 for the inner diameter and the grinding wheel 4 for the outer diameter is made a down-cut direction, that is, a rotation direction where the running direction of a grinding wheel in a tangential direction is the same as the running direction of the workpiece in the tangential direction at a grinding position where the grinding wheel comes in contact with the workpiece. A grinding load F4 by the grinding wheel 4 for the outer diameter and a grinding load F5 by the grinding wheel 5 for the inner diameter, and resultant force F45 of the grinding load F4 and the grinding load F5 are made to act between support positions 2a, 3a at two points by the front shoe 2 and the rear shoe 3 in the outer diameter face Wa of the workpiece W.
