Title:
METHOD FOR SINTERING POWDER COMPACTED BODY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3707069
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the cracking of parts having difference in the thickness without wasting the material and man-hours by executing sintering in a state in which a thin part is held between heat insulating jigs.
SOLUTION: A compacted body 1 in which the center of a thin part 1a having outer diameter Do and thickness (t) is provided with a hub part (thick part 1b) having diameter Dh and height H is prepd. A heat insulating jig 2 is laid on a wire net 5 in a sintering furnace, and the surface is placed with the compacted body 1 in such a manner that the thick part 1b is fitted to the opening part. Moreover, the surface of the compacted body 1 is placed with a heat insulating jig 3, in a state in which the thin part 1a is held between the heat insulating jigs 2 and 3, dewaxing treatment is executed at a prescribed temp., and then, sintering is executed at a prescribed temp. for a prescribed time to obtain the objective sintered parts. In this way, the generation of the cracking of the parts in the sintering stage can effectively be prevented. Moreover, as the heat insulating jigs 2 and 3, the ones produced by using ceramic plates composed of silicon nitride or the like are suitable.
