To prevent deformation of sintered parts without using a jig of a special shape and material by sintering a supporting member of a compact compacted to a prescribed shape while vibration is applied thereto.
In a sintering furnace 1, a tray 7 for sintering supporting a compacted body C, a vibrator 11 applying vibration to the tray 7 for sintering, a vibrating table 12 and an amplifier 13 and a sequence controller 14 as means of controlling vibration are provided. As a vibration generating mechanism, a vibrator using piezoelectric elements or the like are used. The amplitude of vibration is regulated to the range of 0.01 to 1mm. Furthermore, as for frequency, a frequency zone in which resonance with equipment can be avoided shall be used. By such vibration, the compact C is slightly raised from the tray 7 for sintering, and the contacting state between is compact c and the tray 7 for sintering is cut off, so that, even if there is a difference in the coefficient of thermal expansion between both, frictional force is not generated on the contact face between the compacted body and the tray 7 for sintering, and the deformation of the sintered parts can be prevented.
