Abstract:
PURPOSE: To slit-seal a film longitudinally so as to obtain a slit and sealed section whose strength is uniform, by successively arranging guide rolls, a slit sealer, and expander rolls, and specifying the distances between them.
CONSTITUTION: For example, a tubular film 1 is flattened, and after it is passed through the guide rolls 3, 4 and the guide roll 5 positioned within 300mm before the slit sealer 6, it is slit-sealed by the slit sealer. Then the heat sealed sections of the tubular film 1 are kept separated by the expander roll 7 positioned within 800mm after the slit sealer 6, and the additional expander roll 8. With them separated, the slit-sealed film 1 is taken up by nip rolls 9, 9.
