Abstract:
To provide a smelting method of oxide ore for improving the quality of a metal to be obtained and efficiently producing a metal having high quality in a smelting method for producing metal by reducing a mixture containing oxide ore such as nickel oxide ore.SOLUTION: The smelting method of oxide ore includes: a pulverization and mixing step of supplying lumpy oxide ore and a lumpy carbonaceous reducing agent to a same grinding device, and pulverizing the lumpy materials to obtain a mixture; and a reducing step of subjecting the mixture to a reduction treatment to obtain a reduced product containing a metal and slag.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
