Abstract:
To provide a smelting method of an oxide ore capable of enhancing a quality of a metal to be obtained, and efficiently manufacturing a high quality metal.SOLUTION: A smelting method of an oxide ore includes: a mixing step of obtaining a mixture including an oxide ore and a carbonaceous reductant; and a reduction step of putting the mixture inside a reduction furnace and applying a reduction treatment to the mixture to obtain a reduced product containing a metal and a slag. The smelting method further includes a reductant desiccation step of preliminarily desiccating the carbonaceous reductant before mixing with the oxide ore in the mixing step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
