PURPOSE: To effectively recycle recovered metals by throwing trash in a hopper, carrying metals adsorbed by an arm part in the excited condition to outside the hopper before releasing the adsorption of metals with demagnetization of the arm part to sort metals in the trash.

CONSTITUTION: When trash 3 is grabbed by an arm part 9 of a crane, the arm part itself is excited by an exciter 14 and the trash 3 is grabbed by the arm part 9 in the excited condition. The arm part 9 grabbing the trash 3 is moved to the throw-in position by the crane and the arm part 9 in the excited condition is released to throw in the trash 3. At this time, metals 4 included in the trash 3 is adsorbed by the excited arm part 9 to separate then from the trash 3. Next, when the arm part 9 is moved to the recovery position by the crane with the sorted metals 4 adsorbed by it, the excitation of the arm part 9 by the exciter 11 is released to release metals 4 and the sorted metals 4 still not in the oxidized condition are recovered.
