Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely specify a leakage position by using a simple calculation, without being affected by external noises and the like.
SOLUTION: An inflow quantity q1 of fluid flowing into a pipe line 1 is measured by a flow meter 71, and an outflow quantity q2 of the fluid flowing out from the pipe line 1 is measured by a flow meter 72, and a dead time TL of the fluid representing an interval from flowing into the pipe line 1 to flowing out from the pipe line 1 is measured by optical fiber sensors 73, 74. Then, the leakage position of the pipe line 1 is calculated from these fluid inflow quantity q1, fluid outflow quantity q2 and dead time TL, by using a personal computer 75.
