The method for spinning fibers comprising the thermoplastic resin, comprising melt-spinning the thermoplastic resin, blowing cooling air on the spun fibers from a uni-flow chimney to cool and solidify the fibers, passing the solidified fibers through a cylindrical duct connected to the lower portion of the chimney, and then taking off the fibers, is characterized by disposing members for surrounding the chimney to close the fiber-traveling space and discharging the cooling air together with the fibers from the lower portion of the duct.
