Abstract:

To provide a method for spraying parting material helpful for establishing a stable casting stage without impairing product quality and casting mold life by preventing the occurrence of defective anodes by the burn, bulge, etc., of the casting mold.

The solute concn. in a parting material preparing vessel is changed according to the equation at the time of changing the spraying amt. of the parting material in the method for spraying the parting material obtd. by preparing the parting material of a desired concn. with the parting material preparing vessel onto the surface of the casting mold. Namely, the solute concn. C2 in the parting material preparing vessel is changed like the equation when the spraying time per one sheet of the casting mold before the change is defined as t1 (second), the spraying amt. of the parting material per unit time as W1 (liter), the concn. of the solute in the parting material as C1 (g/liter), the spraying tie per one sheet of the casting mold 1 as t2 and the spraying amt. of the parting material per unit time is changed to W2. The equation: C2=C1.W 1.t1÷W2.t2.
