Title:
METHOD FOR STABILIZING ACRYLAMIDE-BASED POLYMER DISPERSION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002146029
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To provide a method for improving the long-term stability of an acrylamide-based polymer dispersion by reducing the viscosity of the dispersion so as to improve its fluidity and prevent its curdling with time as well.
This method for stabilizing an acrylamide-based polymer dispersion is characterized by comprising addition of a polyethylene glycol and/or polypropylene glycol to the dispersion under such a condition that the acrylamide-based polymer exists as a dispersion in an aqueous medium containing an inorganic salt in high concentrations and a vinylpyrrolidone homopolymer and/or a copolymer of vinylpyrrolidone and another monomer.
